Childhood

there is nothing more that can be said
screams or sighs, ashes find ill release
my name is listed among the dead

maddening cries of thousands dread
the loss of a long-ago cause deceased
but the buried dust know nothing will be said

a lone mother weeps, a cross on her head
screens surrounding will not be pleased
but her name is listed among the dead

among the sheep a white wolf had fled
yet taken breathing by police
there is nothing more that can be said

your ashes lie there, the dust unspread
comfort denies heartbroken pleas
and your name is listed among the dead

but silence will not go in my stead
history demands to scream its piece
for the names listed among the dead

there is nothing that could not be ahead
both acts and prayers will Death decrease
now there is nothing more that can be said
our names are listed among the dead
